A great all-rounder, Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 4 (7/10, WIRED recommended) has top-notch battery life for a 15-inch laptop. It runs fast and cool, and we love the big 3: 2 aspect ratio screen. We also like the retention of the USB-A and headphone ports, but there is no Thunderbolt and the keyboard is not satisfactory for typing.

The Razer Huntsman Mini is my favorite of this size for gaming. It’s just as responsive and fast as a full-size keyboard, but it takes up much less desktop space.
