Caton Airey and his business partner Dan Rees, who started the business, started in Scunthorpe, where they have an IT business.

They expanded and opened a gadget shop and arcade in Scunthorpe, then launched another in Lincoln.

Caton, 37, said: “We were looking for places where we could open an arcade and the Newcastle area was always on our radar.

“This site at Royal Quays popped up and we loved it so we decided to open the arcade here as well as a gadget shop in another unit.”

He said the new venues would help attract more people to the area, which is also near Inflata Nation and Gutterball Alley.

“The arcade will have something for every age group,” he added. “It’s just a great way to get the family out, to all play together.

“There are already other leisure venues in the area and the arcade will add to that, offering something different and a chance for people to come to Royal Quays and enjoy a full day.”
