India Mobile Battlegrounds (BGMI) has been removed from the list Google Play Store and Apple App Store after Indian Government orders. BGMI game has been banned in India and users can no longer download the game from official app stores of Google and Apple – Google Play and App Store. However, the games server is still active and users who have installed the game on their smartphones can still play the game.
APK Link available on the BGMI website
Incidentally, last month, game developer Krafton also launched the game’s APK (Android Package Kit) file on its official website. The APK file allows players to download and sideload the game to their android smart phones. This means that users can download the latest version of the game and install it on their smartphones. But as the name of the APK suggests, this option is only for Android users. Sideloading apps is not allowed on Apple devices.
So, if you are looking to download and sideload the game on your smartphone, here are some things to keep in mind:
Google asks users to avoid APK files
Google advises against downloading apps on its devices, as these apps can be risky and pose security issues. The APK file can be modified to include harmful malware and viruses.
Apple does not offer any option to download the app. So currently there is no way to download the game on iPhone and iPad.
How to download the BGMI APK file and download it
– Open BGMI official website on your smartphone
– Tap download APK button
– The APK file size is around 600MB, so wait for the download to complete
– Tap the downloaded APK file and allow “Install unknown app” permission for the app
Once installed, open the game and download the additional files (OBB) for the game. That’s it. BGMI is now installed on your smartphone. Restart the game, log in and start playing.
