The Black Shark 5 Series landed in Malaysia tonight with two models, Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro. Powered by up-to-date Qualcomm chipsets, the devices are here to deliver better gaming performance than before. Now let’s see the technical specifications and the features they offer!
The vanilla Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro sport the same 6.67-inch Samsung E4 display with support for 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 870 powers the lower variant, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 handles the more powerful. They’re also paired with a 4,650mAh battery with 120W Hyper Charge, not to mention they include a 120W charger in the box.
Of course, how can a gaming smartphone come without awesome gaming features. The Black Shark 5 Series comes with Magnetic Pop-up Trigger 2.0, Sandwich VC Cooling System for the Vanilla variant, and Anti-G Dual VC Cooling System for the Pro. They also have the Magic Press which works with seven levels of press sensitivity and helps prevent contact errors.
For photography, both offer a triple camera setup. The Black Shark 5 brings a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter. Meanwhile, the Black Shark 5 Pro has a 108MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro shooter. They have the same 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Other features of the devices include Shark Eye Lightning Effect, dual nano SIM card support, Bluetooth 5.2 and more.
