chrome: Google updates Chrome Web Store with this new feature to help users find high-quality extensions

Google works to improve the Chrome Online Store cleaning up the clutter and adding better privacy and security. Now, it looks like the company is planning to implement a way to help users find high-quality extensions for the web browser.
In this effort, the company introduced a new badge in the Chromium Online shop. The new badge will be named Featured and according to 9to5Google’s report, extensions with the Featured badge will be of higher quality and the extension has been reviewed by Chrome team members and also follows technical best practices.
According to the report, featured badge extensions will also follow privacy guidelines to provide better privacy and security. On top of that, they will be based on the company’s latest APIs.
Also, these badges will appear just below the title of the extension in blue color and hovering over it will reveal more details about the app and the developer of that particular extension.
Chrome extension developers can earn the featured badge by submitting their extension for review from the support page under My Article -> I want to name my extension.
However, the badge and review submission process is not live on the store at this time, and Google has not revealed the exact timeline when users will start seeing the featured badge in the Chrome Web Store.
