The Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars will meet for the first time since their infamous Week 18 contest last season. We dive into potential revenge in our Colts-Jaguars picks.
Indianapolis didn’t score a win over the Houston Texans in Week 1, but did manage to impress on the offensive side of the ball in its first game under new quarterback Matt Ryan. Jacksonville fell short against the Washington Commanders and will be looking to come out on top in Week 2.
Here are our Colts-Jaguars NFL picks for Week 2 (odds via BetMGM and FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-5 star scale).

Colts vs Jaguars Odds Analysis
The Jaguars opened as 4.5-point underdogs and fell to at least four points across the board. You can find a 3.5 point spread through bet365 and FanDuel, with PointsBet still hanging at 4 points.
Only 25% of the handful and 30% of the bets are on the Jaguars at +4, while that total has attracted a lot of attention. More than 70% of the money is on the under 45.5s while only 51% of the ticket is ordered.

Colts vs. Jaguars ATS Pick
Foals -3.5 (-110) ★★★★★
The Jaguars knocked out the Colts in the final week of the 2021 season and Indianapolis will be out for revenge this time around. While I love betting on a good rematch, I think this team is in a much better position to win this time around.
Indy’s defense against the Texans held up pretty well, ranking 10th overall and 10th against the rush. This follows two fairly solid seasons on this side of the ball. What’s really impressive is that the Colts now have a real quarterback in Ryan, finishing second in the way in Week 1.
In an ironic twist, Jacksonville really struggled against QB commanders Carson Wentz — who led Indy last season — in Week 1. He had incredible success despite a huge defensive performance from the Jaguars’ rookie defensive end. Travon Walker. It’s hard to see this team slowing down a powerful Indianapolis offense, even with a revamped front seven. The Jaguars failed to contain Commanders running back Antonio Gibson last week and will face a real challenge against the league’s leading running back in Jonathan Taylor.
In short, I don’t see it yet from the Jaguars going back to last season, and while it’s one of those games they’ve really prepared for with their offseason, the offense is way behind and the defense is always full of questions. Brands.

Colts vs. Jaguars O/U Pick
Over 44.5 (-115) ★★★★
So, yeah, why not take the Over here? Houston managed to find 20 points in a draw against the Colts last week, and the Texans are decidedly worse in that regard than the Jaguars. There’s also the fact that All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard will likely miss another game here, which will make life easier for Jaguars QB and Co. Trevor Lawrence.
I’m mostly going after the Jaguars defense here, though, given the nightmarish Week 1 it had against a fairly flat Commanders offense. Indianapolis has a better quarterback and faster offense, and has allowed 26 or more points in three of its last four games in 2021.
Choice of Colts vs. Jaguars props
Pittman Anytime TD (+135) ★★★★
We don’t have a lot of data from where we’re only a week into the season, but one thing that was evident in Week 1 was how vulnerable the Jaguars were in the air, getting chopped up by commanders’ receivers. Curtis Samuel on gimmicks and Jahan Dotson on big plays near the red zone.
With that, I want to attack the Jaguars secondary with a little Michael Pittman prop. I think his yardage is a bit short, but I think that line on a second touchdown to score in as many weeks is good.
Pittman was targeted twice in the red zone last week, catching a touchdown. He should find his way back into the end zone as Ryan’s clear No. 1 option.
