It’s been over a year since Mediatonic confirmed that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout would be coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms. After a few delays, it’s almost there. The fun Battle Royale platformer is coming to these platforms and the Epic Games Store on June 21. A dedicated PlayStation 5 version is also coming. Full cross-play and cross-progression will be available on all platforms.
Fall Guys is also going free. Existing players on PlayStation and Steam will receive a Legacy Pack, which includes three costumes and a few other goodies. Newcomers who pre-register can also claim gifts.
A new season will also begin on June 21. Mediatonic is resetting things and calling it Season 1: Free for All. This will be the first seasonal update since November and there will be new tiers and more cosmetics to look forward to. There will also be a premium season pass with 100 tiers and additional cosmetic items. Those who obtain the Legacy Pass will have free access to the Premium Season Pass for the first season. A free season pass will still be available with other unlockables as well.
Another change is that crowns will no longer be used as currency to purchase items. The crown ranking feature will be enhanced with more rewards. Unspent crowns will be converted into congratulations. There will be another in-game currency called Show-Bucks, which can be used to purchase the premium season pass. Some upcoming costumes include Ezio from the Assassin’s Creed series, as well as Mecha Godzilla and Mothra.
