Microsoft Windows 11 is the company’s latest operating system. It features a whole new look compared to previous versions of Windows and it also comes with a host of new features along with a bunch of customization options.
The easiest way to customize Windows 11 is to use custom themes. For those unaware, themes are usually the combination of background images, fonts, colors, mouse pointer customizations, sounds, and lock screens.
The operating system currently offers six different themes, including Windows (light) and Windows (dark), Glow, Sunrise, and more. Also, other themes can be downloaded from Microsoft Store.
So, if you are looking to add a personal touch to your Windows laptops, here are the steps to follow:
Preconditions:
Close all running applications
Make sure your PC or laptop is running Windows 11 operating system
Internet connectivity
Steps to follow:
Right-click on your desktop and click on the Personalize option
In the left navigation panel, select Themes
Once selected, a theme-related settings window will appear in the right navigation pane
Choose from one of six themes and click on your favorite theme to apply it
Wait for your computer to load for a few seconds
Note that these are only pre-made themes, you always have the option to download more themes from the Microsoft Store.
To download themes from the Microsoft Store, open the Store app and search for themes. Click on the one you like and hit the Get button.
Once the theme is downloaded and installed, go to the Personalization section and find the downloaded ones. Click on it to apply.
