How it works

This product really looks like something Inspector Gadget invented. It’s basically a little box that can be mounted on any toggle switch (the kind you press to turn it on and off) and when you want to turn the switch on, a little “finger” robot tends hand and presses the switch. You use it with an app on your smartphone and it works with Alexa. There is absolutely no wiring required and has a battery life of 600 days.

It’s one of those gadgets Amazon shoppers swear by – with 8,600 five-star reviews, it’s hard to argue with the Switchbot’s convenience.
