- Where to find Crystal Flies in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact, the popular gacha-based RPG from miHoYo, has grown significantly since its release in 2020. One of the biggest new features arrived with update 1.5, giving players space to build, furnish and decorate their very own home island in the Serenitea Pot. Like Genshin Impact continues to grow, more features have been added to the Serenitea, including the ability to populate it with various small creatures.
Version 2.3 of Genshin Impact saw the arrival of the Omni-Ubiquity Net, an all-new gadget that allows players to capture the essence of animals in the open world. One of the trickiest creature types players can catch with the Net are the elusive Crystalflies, which come in Cryo, Geo, Electro, and Anemo forms. Catching a Crystalfly with the net will earn players the “Not Flyin’ Away This Time!” achievement, which is worth 5 Primogens.
How to use the Omni-Ubiquity Network
Before players can think of hunting down a Crystalfly, they will first need to purchase and master the Omni-Ubiquity Network. The first step is to complete the Omni-Ubiquity Net world quest, which will award 10 nets upon completion, as well as unlocking the ability to purchase more from Wakamurasaki in Inazuma City. Extra nets cost 10,000 Mora each and Wakamurasaki has a stock of 5, which refreshes weekly.
When a player uses the Net, they replace their active character’s elemental skill with the capture ability. This can be tapped for a quick throw or held down to aim. All players need to do to capture a Crystalfly with the net and complete the achievement is throw one so the Crystalfly is in the splash zone.
Where to find Crystal Flies in Genshin Impact
Crystalflies are among the most elusive creatures in the world of Genshin Impact, thanks to their habit of flying away as soon as a player gets close. Luckily, they can be found all over Tevyat, with a different elemental flavor depending on the region. Here are the best spots to find all the items:
- Crystalflies anemones: Found in Mondstadt, with the easiest place to search being around the Dawn Cellar and the nearby Statue of the Seven.
- Cryocrystalline: Found on Dragonspine, with the easiest location to search being just southwest of the outskirts of the buried city
- Geo Crystalflies: Found in Liyue, with the easiest place to search being next to Guyun’s Estate.
- Electro Crystalflies: Found in Inazuma, with the easiest place to search being Serai Island, especially the far southern part.
Once players find a group of Crystalflies, they’ll want to ready their Omni-Ubiquity Net before approaching. Players who have the character Sayu on their team can take advantage of his Yoohoo Art: Silencer’s Secret Talent, which will prevent flies from running away. If not, just approach carefully and throw a net to catch a Crystalfly and complete the “Not Flyin’ Away This Time!” realization.
Genshin Impact is out now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
