The Xiaomi Redmi A70 2023 TV was revealed in China. The device features a 70-inch (~178cm) 4K panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 78% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The TV features thin metal bezels, delivering a 96% screen-to-body ratio. A quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 processor powers the gadget with 1.5 GB of memory and 8 GB of flash memory. With the stand, the TV measures 1,568 x 946 x 336 mm (~61.7 x 37.2 x 13.2 inches).
For sound, the gadget has two built-in 10W speakers for a stereo audio experience. You can wirelessly connect Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac gadgets, allowing you to stream content through these products. You can also stream to the TV via tools like Apple AirPlay or Miracast. Alternatively, you can connect to the device via HDMI, USB, S/PDIF, AV and network ports. You can control the TV remotely using the Xiaomi TV Assistant smartphone app. In addition, you can use Xiao AI voice commands through the app to adjust various settings.
A smart home hub built into MIUI TV lets you control connected gadgets, such as a robot vacuum or smart kettle, through the device. You can currently pre-order the Xiaomi Redmi A70 2023 TV in China for 2,199 yuan (~$305) with a 20 yuan (~$3) down payment; the device is expected to retail for 2,999 yuan (~$417) after this presale period. It’s unclear if or when the gadget might launch in other markets.
